The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has warned candidates about fraudulent messages circulating via a spoofed version of its 66019 short code.

Reacting to the messages which directed candidates to reprint their examination slips for another resit examination, JAMB spokesman, Fabian Benjamin, who described them as fake, urged the public to ignore such.

Benjamin emphasized that there are no scheduled examinations currently, therefore, candidates who have completed the resit and received their results do not need to take further action.

He further said that the board is planning a foreign examination in nine countries, with a mop-up examination for candidates who missed the main and resit exams or experienced biometric failures in 2025.

The Board urge candidates to disregard the deceptive messages, assuring that qualified candidates for the mop-up examination will be notified once preparations are finalized
