
ZULUM DONATES N300M TO MOKWA FLOOD VICTIMS.
Borno State Governor, Babagana Zulum, has donated N300 million to support victims of the recent Mokwa flood disaster in Niger State.
Governor Zulum made the donation during a sympathy visit to the Niger State Government House in Minna, expressing condolences for the lives lost and property destroyed.
The governor stressed the need for collective action among sub-national governments to mitigate the effects of climate change, which he believes contributes to such disasters.
He also called on the Federal Government to establish a robust mechanism to prevent and respond to disasters.
In response, Niger State Governor, Umar Bago, appreciated Zulum for the gesture, describing it as timely and a show of love, assuring that the donation would be properly utilized.
He also highlighted ongoing advocacy efforts to educate people on avoiding coastal areas to prevent similar disasters in the future.
