Troops of the 3 Division of the Nigerian Army under Operation SAFE HAVEN have neutralized two suspected armed bandits in a raid on a criminal hideout in Plateau State.

The operation targeted a suspected bandits' enclave located around Teng Mountain/Forest, following credible intelligence.

The troops recovered a cache of weapons and valuables, including an AK-47 rifle, a locally fabricated rifle, ammunition, four mobile phones, two motorcycles, and N157,900 in cash, while the seized mobile phones are undergoing forensic analysis to aid in locating and arresting other fleeing members of the gang.

The Nigerian Army has reassured the public of its commitment to sustaining offensive operations against banditry and other criminal activities until peace is fully restored across the Joint Operations Area.

The military emphasized that it remains determined to tackle insecurity and protect lives and property in the region.
