PRESIDENCY DISMISSES SPECULATIONS OF POLITICAL COALITION.
The Presidency has dismissed speculations of a growing political coalition to challenge President Bola Tinubu's administration, describing it as a "political hallucination."
The Special Adviser to the President on Policy Communication, Daniel Bwala, in a statement posted on Wednesday via his X, while argued that major political figures and institutions have not shown any interest in forming such an alliance.
He highlighted the strength of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), as well as its ability to attract opposition figures, including prominent defectors, citing statements from PDP and Labour Party leaders expressing disinterest in coalition talks.
However, some notable figures have expressed dissatisfaction with the APC, including former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, former AGF Abubakar Malami, and former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai, who recently joined the Social Democratic Party and called for like-minded Nigerians to work towards removing the APC in 2027.
