POLICE DETAINS 3 OFFICERS FOR ALLEGED MURDER OF SUSPECT IN KEBBI.

The Kebbi State Police Command has detained three officers over the death of a suspect in custody.
The Spokesperson of the Command, CSP Nafi’u Abubakar, revealed that Abubakar Auwal, who was arrested on April 15 for allegedly stealing trailer truck rims, collapsed in detention and died at a hospital in Jega.
Abubakar noted that based on the development, the Commissioner of Police, Bello Sani, has directed the case to be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department for discreet investigation.
He confirmed that three officers have been found culpable and detained, while the Divisional Police Officer has been queried and transferred.
The police command has reiterated its commitment to upholding ethics and professionalism, emphasizing that disciplinary.
