PDP AFFIRMS ANYANWU AS NATIONAL SECRETARY.

The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) stakeholders have reaffirmed Senator Sam Anyanwu as the party's duly elected National Secretary, citing a Supreme Court judgment.  

FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, who read the communique said that Anyawu’s reaffirmation followed the resolutions of the stakeholders, in line with the Judgment of the Supreme Court. 

Wike stated that the meeting was organized to review the state of affairs of the party and the need to reinforce internal democracy, equity and justice within the ranks of the party, adding that only Anyanwu can issue notices for meetings and that any notices not issued by him are null and void.  

The stakeholders also called for adherence to the party's constitution and respect for the rule of law, with a resolution that the party's 2027 presidential candidate should be zoned to the South, citing principles of fairness, inclusion, and federal character.
