Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo, has called on Nigerians to collaborate with the government to combat hunger and poverty nationwide.
The governor made the call during the distribution of 13,000 bags of rice donated by the Aliko Dangote Foundation to vulnerable residents in Edo State.
Governor Okpebholo emphasized that ending hunger and poverty is a collective responsibility, hence the need for strategic partnerships in building a resilient future.
He also noted that the state government is committed to President Bola Tinubu's Renewed Hope Agenda, prioritizing food security.
He also highlighted the state's "Back to Farm" initiative, aimed at cultivating 3,000 hectares of land to improve food sufficiency and boost agricultural productivity.
