Labour Party’s 2023 presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has condemned the ongoing killings in Benue, Kogi, and Taraba States, attributing the violence to the government's failure to address insecurity.
The former governor of Anambra State, in a post on X, maintained that Nigerians cannot continue to endure such suffering, noting that the violence has claimed countless lives, including children, women, and men of faith, with many families displaced and communities torn apart.
Frowning at the weak response from the government, Obi stressed the need for an urgent action to be taken to protect human life.
Obi also urged leaders to value human life and defend it, emphasizing that Nigeria cannot continue like this.
