NYESOM WIKE EMPHASIZES IMPORTANCE OF WORKERS' VOICES IN GOVERNANCE, POLICYMAKING IN THE FCT.

FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, has emphasized the importance of workers' voices in governance, policy-making, and economic reforms. 


The Minister, in his 2025 Workers' Day message, highlighted the FCT Administration's commitment to staff welfare and improving working conditions.


Wike also highlighted efforts being made by the FCT Administration such as prompt salary payments, staff training, and infrastructure upgrades.


He expressed concern about the ongoing strike by area council employees over non-implementation of the new minimum wage and urged area council chairmen to pay workers' entitlements after releasing N4.17 billion for this purpose.


The Minister also reaffirmed the FCTA's commitment to improving teachers' working conditions through school facility upgrades and provision of learning materials
