The National Orientation Agency (NOA) has called on youths in the South-East to support President Bola Tinubu's administration policies for a greater Nigeria.
The South-East Zonal Director of the agency, Regina Iroha, made the call during a one-day working visit to the agency's office in Abakaliki, Ebonyi State capital, expressing concern over the indifferent attitude of some people in the zone towards national empowerment programs, particularly the Student Loan initiative.
Iroha stressed the need for NOA to intensify its sensitization campaign to align the people, especially youths, with the governance process, noting that the federal government has introduced initiatives to cushion the effects of subsidy removal and encouraged people to have confidence in governance.
She revealed that the NOA Director-General, Lanre Issa-Onilu, is reportedly working to provide modern facilities for operations and he has assured support for staff.
In his remarks, the Ebonyi State Director of the agency, Theophilus Nwokpor, commended the zonal director for the visit and pledged to reach out to rural communities on value reorientation.
He emphasized the importance of the National Values Charter in reinforcing mutual respect and strengthening the bond between the people and their leaders.
