NO DECISIONS MADE ON LABOUR PARTY'S DISPUTE YET - INEC.
The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, says that it has not made any decisions regarding the Labour Party's internal dispute.
This comes after media reports suggested that INEC had recognized specific individuals as the party's National Chairman and National Secretary.
INEC, in a statement by Royimi Oyekanmi, Chief Press Secretary to the Chairman of the Commission, Mahmood Yakubu, explained that the names of Labour Party's national officers were previously uploaded to its website due to a court order unrelated to the Supreme Court's latest judgment.
The commission reiterated its commitment to being a law-abiding institution, stating that it is carefully studying the Supreme Court's judgment.
INEC also assured the public that it will communicate its decision in due course, once it has thoroughly reviewed the judgment.
