
NIGERIA EXTENDS CONDOLENCES TO INDIA OVER TRAGIC PLANE CRASH.
The Nigerian government has extended condolences to the Indian government and people over the tragic crash of Air India Flight 2021 in Ahmedabad, which claimed over 290 lives.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Yusuf Tuggar, in a statement issued by the Spokesperson of the Ministry, Kimiebi Ebienfa, expressed profound sorrow and solidarity with India during this period of immense grief.
Tuggar Nigerian government has verified that there are no reports of Nigerian citizens being on the flight, but the Nigeria High Commission in New Delhi is in close contact with Indian authorities to confirm this information and provide consular assistance if necessary.
The minister reaffirmed Nigeria's commitment to global aviation safety and called for a thorough investigation into the crash to prevent similar tragedies in the future.
He also commiserated with the families of the bereaved and all those affected by the incident.
