This was confirmed in a statement by NDLEA spokesman, Femi Babafemi, noting that the suspect will be transferred to the appropriate security agency for further investigation.

In separate operations, Babafemi said the NDLEA operatives seized large quantities of illicit drugs, including 5,350 pills of tramadol and diazepam in Taraba, 198kg of skunk in Jigawa, and 143kg of skunk in Niger.

Other seizures included 14.3kg of Loud, 594.8kg of skunk, and 67.5kg of skunk in different locations.

He revealed that the NDLEA also conducted War Against Drug Abuse (WADA) sensitization lectures in various schools and communities across the country, aiming to educate people about the dangers of drug abuse and trafficking, as part of the agency's efforts demonstrate its commitment to combating drug-related crimes and promoting a drug-free society.
