The Kwara State Government says it is tackling security challenges through a comprehensive and multi-pronged approach.
The Secretary to the State Government, Professor Mamman Jibril, disclosed this while welcoming participants of Senior Course 47 of the Armed Forces Command and Staff College, Jaji.
The SSG stated that strategies such as community policing, surveillance technology, inter-agency collaboration, and grassroots intelligence are being deployed to address emerging threats such as rural banditry, farmer-herder clashes, youth restiveness, and infiltration of criminal elements into peri-urban areas.
Emphasizing the government’s commitment to enhancing security and stability, not just in the state, but across Nigeria, Jibril urged the team to gather valuable data that could contribute to addressing security challenges.
Earlier, the team leader, Colonel U.H. Mohammed, expressed hope for access to adequate data to develop actionable recommendations for enhancing state and national security.
