IGP EBGETOKUN LAUNCHES SAFE SCHOOL INITIATIVE IN BAUCHI.

The Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, has launched the Safe School Initiative in Bauchi State to protect schools and students from potential attacks. 


Egbetokun noted that the initiative includes the installation of security enhancements such as CCTV cameras and alarm systems in schools across the state.


He also highlighted the importance of collaboration between educational authorities, community leaders, and security agencies to provide a safe learning environment.


The IGP revealed that the Safe School Initiative also includes training programs for school administrators, teachers, and security personnel to effectively respond to emergencies.


According to him, a 90-member Squad has been deployed to ensure school security, operating under a detailed policy framework that outlines their responsibilities and operational procedures.
