HOUTHIS REBELS FIRE MISSILES NEAR ISRAEL'S MAIN AIRPORT.

1 min read

A missile which was fired by Yemen's Houthi rebels has landed near Ben Gurion Airport in Israel, causing panic among passengers.

The missile was said to have created a large crater near a terminal parking lot, sending a plume of smoke into the air.

Reacting to the incident, Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, has vowed to retaliate and he is expected to meet with security ministers and defense officials to discuss a response to the attack.

Meanwhile, the Israel Defense Forces are investigating the incident, which appears to be the only successful missile launch from a series launched in the past few days that was not intercepted.

Recall that the Houthi rebels had recently intensified missile launches at Israel, claiming solidarity with Palestinians in Gaza.
