Senate Minority Leader, Senator Abba Moro, has led a delegation on a courtesy visit to the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Olufemi Oluyede, at the Nigerian Army Headquarters in Abuja.
They appreciated the Army's efforts in addressing insecurity in Benue State, particularly in the Benue South Senatorial District.
The delegation requested the deployment of more troops to vulnerable communities and the establishment of a Forward Operating Base (FOB) in a high-risk area within the district.
The Chief of Army Staff responded positively, assuring that the requests would be considered despite current operational limitations.
The Army Chief thanked the delegation for the visit, saying it boosted the Army's morale and resolve to bring lasting peace to the region.
