GOVERNOR ZULUM MOVES TO UPGRADE MAIDUGURI CORRECTIONAL FACILITY SKILL CENTRE.

Borno State Governor, Babagana Zulum, has announced plans to upgrade the vocational and skill acquisition center at the Maiduguri Maximum Security Correctional Facility.

The governor said the aim is to enhance the rehabilitation and reintegration of inmates into the society through technical and vocational training.

Governor Zulum announced this during his visit to the facility, emphasizing the importance of reforming inmates and giving them a second chance.

He also pledged to improve the overall living conditions within the facility and examine cases of inmates convicted of minor offenses for possible release.

The governor explained that the initiative aligns with his administration's commitment to reforming the justice and correctional systems, stressing that by providing inmates with skills and training, the government hopes to reduce recidivism and support their successful reintegration into society.
