Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji, has reaffirmed his administration's commitment to prioritizing workers' welfare.
Speaking at the 2025 Workers' Day celebration, Oyebanji commended workers for their support and friendly dialogue, enabling prompt action on issues.
Governor Oyebanji also promised to continue improving workers' dignity and pride through the provision of civil space in the state.
In separate remarks, the organized labour acknowledged the governor's worker-friendly administration, with the NLC chairman, Kolapo Olatunde, calling for improved security architecture to protect lives and property, while the TUC chairman, Sola Adigun, expressed concern about restrictions on trade union activities and freedom of speech.
