
GOV MAKINDE PEROMISES TO PROTECT INTEREST OF INVESTORS.
Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, has assured investors that his administration will protect their interests, ensuring that changes in government won't affect their investments.
The governor gave the assurance while hosting the Secretary-General of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), Wamkele Mene.
He highlighted Oyo State's strategic advantages, including its central location, access to the West African sub-region, and potential for agricultural and mineral development, showcasing ongoing projects, such as upgrading Ibadan airport to international standards and developing a new city along the Rasidi Ladoja Circular Road.
In his remarks, Mene praised Governor Makinde's leadership, acknowledging the state's impressive economic growth rate of over 4%.
He stated that the purpose of the visit was to explore investment opportunities in Oyo State and consolidate collaboration between the AfCFTA and the state government, with a focus on green infrastructure, agro-processing, and other key areas.
