FCTA TO CLOSE APO-WASSA ROAD FOR PROJECT'S INAUGURATION.
The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) has announced a temporary road closure on Friday from 11am to 4pm.
A statement by FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike's media aide, Lere Olayinka, announced that the Apo Mechanics Village to Wassa road will be closed to allow President Bola Tinubu inaugurate the completed 15-kilometre left-hand service lane of the Outer Southern Expressway, Stage II.
Olayinka disclosed that the inauguration is scheduled for 2:30pm, therefore, motorists have been advised to use alternative routes during the closure period.
He further said that traffic enforcement personnel will be deployed to guide motorists and minimize inconvenience, noting that the FCTA has appealed to affected road users to bear with the government during this temporary closure.
Olayinka revealed that traders and mechanics at Apo Mechanic Village have voluntarily agreed to close their businesses on Friday to participate in the commissioning ceremony, they are expected to resume business on Saturday.
