Three persons have been rescued from a two-storey building under construction which collapsed on Sunday afternoon in the Mushin area of Lagos State, specifically at Ishaga Road.
Emergency responders from the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) and other agencies rushed to the scene to rescue those trapped.
The Coordinator, National Emergency Management Agency, Lagos Territorial Office, Ibrahim Farinloye, confirmed that the three people who were rescued alive from the debris, were taken to the hospital for medical care, while search and rescue operations continued to locate any potential survivors trapped beneath the debris.
Farinloye said the cause of the collapse is currently under investigation, and authorities are working to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
He noted that the rescue efforts are being coordinated by NEMA and other emergency services in the state.
