Eid-el-Kabir: FEDERAL GOVERNMENT DECLARES FRIDAY AND MONDAY AS PUBLIC HOLIDAY
The Federal Government has declared Friday, June 6, and Monday, June 9, 2025, as public holidays to mark this year’s Eid-ul-Adha celebration.
The announcement was made by the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, in a statement released on behalf of the government on Monday.
Tunji-Ojo extended warm congratulations to all Muslims in Nigeria and the diaspora, urging the Muslim Ummah to reflect the values of sacrifice, obedience, and faith exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim (Peace be upon Him).
He also encouraged Nigerians to use the festive period to offer prayers for the nation’s peace, unity, and prosperity.
The minister reassured citizens that the ongoing people-centered reforms under President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda are aimed at steering the country back onto the path of progress.
He concluded by wishing Muslims a joyous Eid-ul-Adha celebration and called on all Nigerians to support the government’s efforts in rebuilding and restoring Nigeria’s greatness.
