The AGF stressed the need for collaborative efforts in tackling drug abuse, commending state governments and civil society organizations working together to ensure more holistic outcomes, while urging stakeholders to expand prevention programs targeting youths, women, vulnerable, and marginalized groups to build a healthier and safer Nigeria

In his remarks, the NDLEA Chairman, retired Brigadier General Buba Marwa, who acknowledged funding challenges affecting the full implementation of the National Drug Control Master Plan but expressed optimism about the amended Act, which is currently awaiting presidential assent.

Marwa also called on stakeholders to renew their energy and resolve in addressing Nigeria's evolving drug challenges.
