AKPABIO ASSURES NIGERIAN WORKERS OF LABOUR-FRIENDLY LEGISLATIONS AS THEY CELEBRATE WORKERS DAY

Senate President Godswill Akpabio has assured Nigerian workers of labour-friendly legislations as they celebrate this year’s workers Day. 

Akpabio, in a statement by his media aide, Eseme Eyiboh, commended workers for their productivity, diligence, and resilience despite socio-economic challenges, acknowledging their invaluable contributions to the nation's development.

He promised that the 10th National Assembly would prioritize workers' welfare, security, and condition of service, and ensure their rights are guaranteed and protected, assuring that no worker would be victimized for demanding their rights or seeking legal redress.

The Senate President expressed his commitment to working with the Executive to address workers' concerns, create opportunities for growth and prosperity, and build a brighter future for Nigerian workers and the nation. He wished workers a fruitful and peaceful celebration.
