Aiyedatiwa pledges commitment to ensure quality healthcare delivery in Ondo.
Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has reiterated his administration's commitment to quality healthcare delivery.
The governor stated this during the inauguration of the newly upgraded Central Medical Stores to a Pharma-grade Warehouse in Akure, following a strategic partnership between Ondo State, the Federal Government, and the Global Fund.
Governor Aiyedatiwa emphasized that the project is a major leap in strengthening the state's healthcare delivery system and a bold step toward eliminating counterfeit and substandard drugs from public health facilities.
He noted that the facility adheres to international best practices for drug storage, protecting the potency, safety, and quality of health commodities.
Governor Aiyedatiwa said the state has also collaborated with the Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI) to produce the first edition of the Ondo State Essential Medicines List, standardizing healthcare delivery and drug availability.
The governor expressed optimism that the upgraded warehouse will help eliminate fake medicines from the supply chain.
