Abia State Governor, Alex Otti, has announced that the state’s new transport system will commence operation before the end of July, with the introduction of 20 electric buses and the completion of modern bus terminals across key locations.

Governor Otti announced this during the “Promise Kept Carnival” celebrating the completion of the Port Harcourt Road reconstruction in Aba.

The event was attended by various stakeholders, including the Speaker of the Abia House of Assembly, Emmanuel Emeruwa, who pledged the lawmakers’ continued support for the governor's administration.

The governor described the project as part of his administration’s commitment to transforming public infrastructure and embracing clean energy solutions.

He also commended the state’s business community for their support and thanked them for appreciating his administration’s efforts.
