UNITY CUP: JAMAICA SCALES THROUGH TO FINAL AS SUPER EAGLES BATTLE GHANA.
Jamaica's Reggae Boys have secured a spot in the final round of the 2025 Unity Cup, beating Trinidad and Tobago 3-2 in a thrilling semi-final match.
The drama unfolded at the Gtech Community Stadium in Brentford, where Jamaica took an early lead with a penalty scored by Kasey Palmer in the 25th minute, while Rumarn Burrell doubled the advantage eight minutes into the second half with a composed finish.
However, Trinidad and Tobago mounted a spirited fight back, with Isaiah Leacock reducing the deficit with a powerful strike just a minute after Burrell's goal, and Kevin Molino equalizing in the 69th minute.
The match seemed to be heading towards an extra time, but Jamaica's defender Richard King sealed the win with a stoppage-time penalty in the 94th minute.
The Reggae Boys will now face the winner of Wednesday's semi-final clash between Nigeria's Super Eagles and Ghana's Black Stars, with the highly anticipated "Jollof Derby" promising to be a fiery encounter, thereby setting the stage for an exciting Unity Cup final.
