OSIMHEN MAKES HISTORY, EQUALS GOMIS, ICARDI'S RECORDS AFTER WINNING TITLE.
Galatasaray has secured their third consecutive Turkish Super Lig title with a 3-0 win over Kayserispor at Rams Park.
Nigerian striker, Victor Osimhen, scored the opener in the 26th minute with a well-placed header from a Gabriel Sara corner kick and the goal marked his 25th in 29 league appearances, strengthening his lead in the race for the Turkish Super Lig Golden Boot.
Osimhen's achievement made him the third foreign player in Galatasaray's history to score 25 goals in a Super Lig season, following Bafetimbi Gomis and Mauro Icardi.
The win sealed the league title for Galatasaray with 89 points, being eight points ahead of Fenerbahçe which has 81 points and two games remaining, with Osimhen now having four goals more than Krzysztof Piątek, who sits second with 21 goals.
The victory marked a historic milestone for Galatasaray, earning them their first-ever five-star badge for winning three consecutive league titles and Osimhen's performance has sparked speculation about his future, with multiple top European clubs reportedly monitoring him ahead of the summer transfer window, and he has recorded 36 goals and eight assists in 40 appearances for Galatasaray this season.
