NEYMAR TESTS POSITIVE FOR COVID-19 AGAIN.
Brazilian football star, Neymar, has tested positive for COVID-19 for the second time.
His club, Santos FC, confirmed the diagnosis after laboratory tests were conducted following a viral condition that started on Thursday, June 5.
Neymar, who has been away from activities since then and is currently undergoing symptomatic treatment, previously tested positive in 2021 while playing for Paris Saint-Germain.
The 33-year-old player has been struggling with injuries and absence from the game, with his last international appearance being in October 2023, where he was carried on a stretcher off the field with an injury during a match against Uruguay.
Neymar's current situation might affect his future with Santos FC, as his contract with the club is set to expire on June 30.
Meanwhile, he has been excluded from Carlo Ancelotti's squad for the ongoing World Cup qualifiers against Ecuador and Paraguay, and he also missed the Copa America tournament in 2024 despite being Brazil's record goalscorer with 79 international goals.
