The Nigerian Air Force has called for stronger partnerships between the military and civilian populations to enhance national security.
The Air Officer Commanding Air Training Command Kaduna, Air Vice Marshal Ahmed Dari, made the call at an event marking NAF's 61st anniversary, highlighting the importance of collaboration in achieving national security objectives during the Open Day Activities.
The event featured a documentary showcase, static display of historical artifacts, and guided tours of NAF platforms, aiming to deepen public understanding and appreciation of the NAF's role.
Dari commended the Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Hasan Abubakar, for his continuous support and urged the people of Kaduna State to remain law-abiding and cooperative with security agencies.
Also speaking at the event, Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State praised the NAF's resilience and readiness to defend Nigeria's territorial integrity, pledging the state government's maximum cooperation in combating crime and insurgency.
As part of its outreach efforts, the NAF hosted 700 students from Kaduna State's public schools for an excursion to its base, allowing them to see its platforms and facilities and understand its contributions to national peace and development.
This engagement aligns with the NAF's theme of "Optimizing Civil-Military Relations in a Joint Operational Environment for Enhanced Air Operations".
