The police revealed that the lawmaker representing the Kasipul constituency was shot inside his vehicle near a busy intersection along Ngong Road on Wednesday evening.
According to the police, the assailants, riding a motorcycle, fired multiple rounds at Were before speeding away, and he was rushed to a nearby hospital but succumbed to his injuries shortly after arrival.
