Edo State Governor Monday Okpebholo has called for the arrest of Ese Kakor, President of the Neo Black Movement (NBM), over allegations of forgery.
This was contained in a statement issued by the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Fred Itua, noting that Kakor allegedly forged documents authorizing him to assist schools in the Edo South Senatorial District.
The governor described the act as fraudulent and an attack on the state's administrative procedures, stressing that anyone found guilty would be prosecuted according to the law.
Meanwhile, some junior civil servants implicated in the alleged forgery have been identified, detained, and are under police investigation.
Also, Governor Okpebholo has revoked land titles held by NBM for its headquarters, citing alleged links to violence and criminal activity.
He also urged the police and DSS to intensify crackdowns on suspected criminal groups and ensure swift justice for offenders.
