FRIENDLY: SUPER EAGLES BIG TEST FOR RUSSIA - COACH KARPIN.
Russia's head coach, Valery Karpin, has admitted that the Super Eagles of Nigeria will be a significant test for his team.
Despite their impressive 5-0 win over Zambia in March, Karpin acknowledged that Nigeria's quality opposition will push his team to their limits, although he said that Russia is known for their high-pressing style of play, which they have effectively utilized in previous games.
Karpin, however, emphasized that his team will stick to their style of play, regardless of the opponent's quality, noting that pressing against teams like Serbia or Cameroon is more challenging than against teams like Grenada or Brunei, but the requirements remain the same.
The match between Russia and Nigeria will take place at the Luzhniki Stadium in Moscow, with a kickoff time of 6pm Nigerian time, and Russia's recent form has been impressive, with eight consecutive wins, but they will face a stern test against the Super Eagles, who are rebuilding under new coach Eric Chelle.
