BAYELSA QUEENS PLAYERS RECEIVE N400,OOO EACH FOR NWFL TITLE WIN.

Bayelsa Queens have been crowned champions of the 2025 Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Premiership, marking their sixth league title. 

The team secured the top spot with 10 points from five games after a commanding 4-1 victory over Naija Ratels in the final round of the Super Six playoffs at Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne.

Vera Samuel stole the show with a hat-trick, while Mega Cynthia scored the other goal for Bayelsa Queens. 

This win not only adds to their impressive trophy collection but also qualifies them for the CAF Women's Champions League, representing Nigeria on the continental stage.

The players who are expected to receive N400,000 each as a reward for their outstanding performance, will be hosted along with their officials by the Bayelsa State government upon their return to Yenagoa to celebrate their achievement. 

Bayelsa Queens will also feature in the WAFU B Champions League later this year.
