ARMY DENIES ALLEGED ISLAMISATION PLOT.
The Nigerian Army has refuted claims of trying to Islamize the country.
Reacting to a viral video which alleged that the Army's School of Islamic Affairs is aimed at promoting one religion over others, the Nigerian Army called these claims "dead on arrival" and said they don't reflect the institution's values.
The Army reaffirmed its commitment to secularism and religious freedom, stressing that it operates multiple training schools for different faiths, including Islamic, Protestant, and Catholic institutions, adding that these schools often collaborate to promote unity and cohesion among personnel.
The Army assured that it respects and accommodates religious diversity, allowing soldiers to practice their faith without hindrance, emphasizing that it remains dedicated to upholding secularism and ensuring all personnel can serve with dignity and respect for their individual beliefs.
