ABIA WARRIORS SECURE CAF CONTINENTAL TICKET AFTER 2-1 VICTORY AGAINST EL KANEMI.

Abia Warriors FC has secured a spot in the CAF Confederation Cup after defeating El Kanemi Warriors 2-1 at Umuahia Township Stadium on Sunday. 

During the game, El Kanemi Warriors took the lead in the first half's added time through Ismail Mukhtar, but Abia Warriors turned the game around in the second half with goals from Adejoh Ojonugwa in the 56th minute and Emmanuel in the 72nd minute.

The victory marked a significant milestone for Abia Warriors, who now have 60 points from 37 matches, ensuring their continental slot even if they lose their final match. 

The team's coach, Imama Amapakabo, has stressed the need to focus in securing a top-three finish and Abia Warriors will face Ikorodu City in their last league fixture, although their CAF Confederation Cup qualification is already secured.

With this win, Abia Warriors have fulfilled their ambition of participating in continental competition and the team's performance has been impressive, leaving their fans celebrating this achievement, while the team tries to maintain their momentum as they conclude the season.
